Procedures Dr. Rushapol performs most often

01 Deep Plane Facelift and Neck Lift

A deep plane facelift releases the retaining ligaments beneath the SMAS and repositions the deeper facial tissue and skin as one unit, lifting the midface, cheeks and jowls with less tension on the skin. Combined with a neck lift, it treats platysmal bands, excess neck skin and fat to restore a smoother jawline and neck. Working in the deeper plane improves correction of cheek descent and nasolabial folds compared with skin-only lifts, but it requires specific expertise and careful patient selection, and it is not the right operation for everyone.

02 Mommy Makeover

Body contouring surgery commonly combines abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and liposuction to improve abdominal shape, tighten soft tissue, and remove localized fat deposits.

03 Facial Feminisation

Forehead and brow reset, jaw and chin contouring, rhinoplasty and tracheal shave, staged or in a single operation.

04 Upper & Lower Blepharoplasty

Eyelid rejuvenation with fat repositioning rather than removal, most often performed alongside a facelift.

Why patients travel to Thailand for surgery

Thailand has a long-established private hospital sector, and its board-certified plastic surgeons train to a national specialist standard set by the Medical Council of Thailand. Costs are lower than in Australia, New Zealand, the UK or the US because hospital, anaesthetic and staffing costs are lower, not because standards are. Before you travel, confirm your surgeon’s board certification, the hospital where surgery takes place, who administers the anaesthetic, and what aftercare is arranged for when you fly home.

Answered plainly, in the surgeon's own words.

Is Dr. Rushapol Sdawat board-certified?

Yes. Dr. Sdawat holds the Diploma of the Medical Council of Thailand certifying proficiency in Plastic Surgery, issued 13 July 2000, and is registered under Medical Council licence No. 17689. He is a full member of The Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Thailand and a member of ISAPS since 2008. He operates at Intrarat Hospital, Bangkok.

What does his practice concentrate on?

Dr. Sdawat has been board-certified in plastic surgery by the Medical Council of Thailand since 2000. His operating list is now concentrated on facial surgery, principally the deep plane facelift with concurrent neck lift.

How long do I need to stay in Thailand for a facelift?

Fourteen days. One to two nights in hospital, then recovery accommodation nearby with scheduled nursing checks. Dr. Sdawat reviews you twice before clearing you to fly. Most patients return to work two to three weeks after surgery.

Does he operate on international patients?

Yes. The practice is built around patients travelling from Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. Consultation begins by video with photographs, and in-person assessment happens two days before surgery.

What is a deep plane facelift, and why does it matter?

The deep plane technique releases the ligaments beneath the SMAS layer and repositions the deeper facial tissues as one unit, rather than pulling the skin, so the result is designed to move naturally. The longevity of facelift results varies between patients and depends on age, skin quality, anatomy, technique and ageing after surgery. All surgery carries risks. Individual results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed. A consultation and assessment with your surgeon is required before any procedure.
